CAESAR: A New Production from EvilDirector and the kids at Crosstimbers Academy!

Evildirector's picture

After the success of the several video "projects" in my classes (see http://www.karmacritic.com/node/1150 ) and last years full-length feature, A Wolf Walks By ( http://www.karmacritic.com/node/937 ) Crosstimbers Academy is producing two full-length films this year. The first, casting now and shooting in four weeks, is WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE'S CAESAR, set in a high school setting. The agnst, let me tell you, is ratcheted up when you move the setting from Rome to a high school, and I'm looking forward to a great time directing these kids. Look for a trailer to premiere, right here on KC, in about six weeks!

I'll watch it

I've never seen CAESAR before, so this is a good chance. Plus over the summer I worked and became friends with an actor who had been in Caear just prior to meeting me and I was sad I missed it.

You are the Best History Teacher in the World, Man!

Dude, this is AWESOME!!! I would so buy these, if you sell them. ;)

I would've loved a history teacher like you! You make it come alive. Wow. Any copies available of the other features, like "A Wolf Walks By"?

Plus, this is cool becuase you get the experience of making movies too. :)

Promoted! This is a win-win kind of thing

The students get to learn history and have a great time making a film, you get to make a film and teach students while having a great time, and even the school can brag later on about the cool film that got made, and inspire more of that for the future, etc etc etc!

This is a perfect storm only positive :)

Go for it man!! You're a speck of good in this cold gray world!

 Ah, but just a speck,

Ah, but just a speck, Marco...just a speck!

I've been very pleased with the kids, with how they've tackled the language and made it their own.  We've really turned this into something pretty disturbing, pretty relevant to modern kids.  Shakespeare's Ghost might roll in the grave and come hunting us for revenge, but it's going to be interesting.
