Nice, dark little contest and a way to get some work noticed. Write a Dexter story and win a set of knives. (probably not the best gift for chronically depressed writers but...

For anyone that hasn't seen the show, it's some of the better writing on television (along with The Wire and Friday Night Lights).

California is good.  Except for the traffic, and the upcoming writer's strike and actor's strike and maybe director's strike.
 
I'm still one of the Columbus film scene's biggest fans.  At USC I have met 2 other people that are from the central ohio area and two more writers are going to other graduate films schools.  The Ohio film scene is what Seattle was to grunge rock in the late 80's/90's --sans heroin and Courtney Love!

There was recently an intervention because Don THE DRAGON Drennan was doing cocaine and heroin while animating 3D visions of an acid trip of Elvis dancing with Woody Hayes. It was a little surreal.
