Yes... another Karmacritic member involved with Ezequiel's latest film, Die Slow, Kill Fast.

Lady Vengeance wasn't the only one pointing and shooting...

I've got a camera, and I'm not afraid to use it!

Great improvement!

Much better on the titles from the one I saw originally. Great improvement! I really love the cinematography in this film. And the film effects, camera angels work perfectly with the story and the mood!

Excellent!

Thank you for your compliments on the cinematography.

Hurray for steadicam and dolly shots!

And now for the first Die Slow, Kill Fast trivia fact:
Ironically, the "director of photography" credit falls right on one of the very few shots that were not done by the named DP! haha...!

The twilight-ent/Sunlight Digital connection explained (again!)

"Pan Slow Shoot Fast" is Ezequiel's movie - I was new here and didn't know how to post videos quite yet. So I added the same URL as twilight-ent (brad)had but with a spin on the title since my involvement was as DP.

Okay.. here's the whole history - Brad and I met over the E.A.P. project. My SD partner, Tess, and I shot behind-the-scenes and I created the EPK (Electronic Press Kit for those of you wondering). The Director of Photography for the actual movie, "E.A.P." was Jon Darbonne. We shot our own material for the EPK - which is everything you see... even tho some of it looks like shots from a film. Which led to...

Brad called us to DP his next project - "Something For Amanda" - edited by Robert Dias - (Rdias here). There is a second version here that I posted called "Something For Amanda (DP Cut) that I had put together in order to showcase some of the DP work with longer scenes to go on a new DP reel I'm developing. Robert's version tells the whole story that Brad had intended - it's the "real version". The one I posted was my own doing and cheats the storyline in exchange for being able to pull un-used shots I needed for me reel.

Brad passed my name on to Ezeqiuel - and I DP'd "Die Slow Kill Fast". The shoot went way over schedule the day of production and Tess and I had another shoot that evening - so we had to leave before everything was shot. So Brad took over and shot some last-minute stuff... anything with blood on Natasha's face is his work, as is the CU of the gun laid on the ground as she walks away at the end.

It was a fun shoot and it was GREAT to work with Ezequiel, and Brad, Natasha, and.. one of the unsung heroes of the project, Brain Oschab, actor (lead bad guy),. and co-producer. I think we're all hoping to be able to work together again - maybe chapter 2? It's up to the powers that be... I'm just the lowly gun-for-hire. :) Everyone involved - talent and crew are top-notch, quality, creative people. I'm sure I speak for Tess as well when I say I'd be honored to work with any and all of them again.

There you have it... the lo down on this tangled web of production friendships!

To put it in digital editing terms... Hope this plug-in clears up the picture without too much rendering everyone! =)
