Sorry I haven't been around lately, folks. It's finals week at school and I've been busy. I promise I'll be back soon to write some of those comments you all seem to enjoy ;)

Alright.. First comes the

Alright.. First comes the storyboarding. Block out what you want to happen with crude drawings. I would reccomend writing a script too. Second you would fill the script with dialgoue, and mark what is said where on the storyboards. Modify the storyboards, too, as you think of new scenes or different angles you want to do. THis is the most important part. Make sure your story is worth spending all this time and money to create. Take as much time as you can on this part, until you have a script and subsequent storyboards you feel adequately tell the story.

Before shooting, you'll probably want to record the dialogue. Once you have that, then you can have dialogue to listen to as the artist animates every frame of the animation. This will help with timing and facial expressions and so on.

Next you'll want to shoot your movie. As far as shooting animation goes, I have no idea how you'd do this. You'd basically just have to take still images of every cel of animation and then string them together frame by frame in an editing program. As far as lighting goes, you should do this first and spend much time on it. Make sure every detail and corner of the frame is lit properly and the way you want it, and make extensive efforts to never alter it, or you'll get some choppy shots.

After shooting make a list of every sound effect you might need, and either record your own or find some online. Lay these down to the edit of the movie you have, along with the dialog, making alterations to the video where you see fit.

After that, you'll want to find yourself some music. Either have someone compose it for you, or again, try to find some online you'd like to use. Lay the music down into your edit aswell, and fine-tune all of the cuts and fades and transitions and everything.

Watch the movie in its entirety. Make a list of edits you want to make. Make the edits, watch again. Repeat this process until you are satisifed.

When all is said and done you should have yourself a movie.
