There are very few moments in which I can be accused, rightly so, of horror movie heresy.  This flick is one of them.

Freixenet (Spanish Cava/Champagne) Short - Scorserse Feat. Hitchcock!!!!!!

dxarach's picture

Here is a fucking nice Ad, made by Scorsese to Freixenet, a famous brand of cava (kindda Spanish Champagne).

They always make a very special ad, for Xmas, every Year. They always invite Famous International Stars, to feature the ad, but from now on, they will invite famous Directors to make theis Shorts (Ads), i have voted the next year... to Spielberg... but imagine... TARANTINO (OMG!!!)

The history is based on Hitchcock Movies, with Hhitchcock imagery, and Hitchcock aesthetics... and...

Yeah Marco... It's just

Yeah Marco... It's just AMAZING!!

I have to Say that the Freixenet Ad it's to Spain as the Rockefeller Center Tree to New York, it's the beggining of Xmas. It's broadcasted during 24th night and 31st Night. It's an Ad for watching with your family...

I believe people will just be amazed by the Ad, and will enjoy it. Well...  maybe some people will say that it's not typical off Xmas... but... I love it so...

Maybe an Ad made by Spielberg will be more Xmas related... next year we will see...

PS: Thanks for the editing Marco!! I was making a mess triying to put things correct, :P

David, thanks for posting it

I loved it, it brightened up my whole morning! I say its a good tradition to have for XMas, my respect to the old mother land for that :)

An ad by Spielberg would surely be a thrill to watch, but it dont think it would geek-out the cinephile in me as much as this did. I loved this.

BRAVO! BRAVISIMO!!

Okay, now I've watched this.

GOOD LORD this is why Scorcese is Scorcese!! This is why Hitchcock is Hitchcock!! These are the masters, Walk This Way, Children!

MAN!

Watching that makes me feel smarter and smaller at the same time, actually. And I loved the touch at the end with REAR WINDOW and THE BIRDS.

Man, these are people to look up to.

P.S. The falling shot and the zoom-in-while-walking-away are straight out of VERTIGO. .. what coolness in these 10 little minutes..

Cant stop geeking on it

Oh, and did you guys notice how little dialogue there was at all? Hitchcock didnt like dialogue much. A quote of his goes something like "yes, when the script is finished, and the dialogues are added, we'll be ready to shoot". Puny little thing, dialogues. Man. He understood visual media, said so much with so few words...

The ad it's just a piece of

The ad it's just a piece of Art, I'm sure it will make history... It's really amazing how the inspiration and the talent of an artist like scorsese... can make hitchcock to leave his grave and make a film in our days...

I always said to Victor. I will love to make a film with the Vintage Style of the 50's 60's, with classic look, classic feel, classic camera, classic acting...

But I have always said to him... Victor, the worst thing it's that I beleive it's just imposible to make that thing...

Now... this ad has returned me the hope, but it's no just that it's possible to be made a classic film nowadays... so IT HAS BEEN MADE....

So, from now, I will be obssesed to make a film like this... and one day... I will do it.

This is just filmmaking nuclear energy to my soul....

ha ha ha

hahahah Yeah, that's a team

hahahah Yeah, that's a team Victor!!! We're synchronized!! :P

I think for Xmas it will be amazing to see Spielberg creating a family scene, a Xmas dinner... it would be lovely...

But imagine what will happen if Spielberg is choosen and the thematic of directing vintage films is kept...

Imagine for example.. Spielberg directing a lost scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's... or something that so beautyfull.... I can't think about it.. or I will kill myself on emotion and filmmaker's delight...

Freixenet... YOU GUYS HAVE ROCKED WITH THIS IDEA!!!! KEEP IT PLEASE!!

If they keep this greeeeat idea... I think I will live the rest of the year only waiting for the next Xmas... :P
