Entertaining!
Sorta reminds me of something I'd see on SNL... fun!!!
I'd like to see that guy get my ass in shape with his "magic wand"...
YES YES YES, YEEEEESSSS. Again please.
Well, yes. Not truly an original concept, but SNL from the early 70's was the interpretation. Totally a bunch of fun. Spoofing the seasonal car commercials we see at this time of the year. Good working with actors, and directing them. Having to be firm, and yet giving as well. Often times reassuring.
No yelling or retiring to trailers for anyone.
Now vote for the film.

Finally
how much does a vote from a stand up comedianne count anyway?
(Insert Emoticon here, and everyone will know it is a joke)

???
The first scene with the actors and the car in the window was nice.
When the third actor was introduced the sound got real/too loud.
What was this about?

lol...
I liked da MILF... :)
Paid, Paid, damn, I should have gotten paid?
A realy small amount. Didn't matter though. I got to direct someone elses script, and they paid for the video to be made.
Ahhh success.
The Damon Diamond Character was the producer, and novice as he was, he gave me a lot of freedom, and support, and really did a nice job producing. Great collaborator, and more productions on the way.

Fun stuff!!
Oh man, for a moment I feared you had given us a xmas car commercial.... then I was relieved to see Damon Diamond show up! Fun stuff! Now every time I see a car with a gift ribbon on top, I'll wonder................
Good job!!
Cool, just what I wanted
That makes me feel great.
The whole Idea is to get it looking like a real commercial. Man if only I had the budget that a real commercial had. We did this with 1 2K, 2 1K lights, and 2 inkies. Plus a 6 by Grifflon, and one 1K chimera. That and a PVC pipe dolly, and that was it. Not bad for a Director/Cameraman with 1 crew, and little lights. Well there was some N6CTO with Bobbinette on the windows as well.
Glad it works and sells as a Car commercial. The script was great, and just made it so clear.

The funny thing about talking with an expert...
... is that you never know if they're having fun with you :)
Like... inkies? nieces and nephews of Teletubbies Inky-Winky? chimera? mythical beast from greece! N6CTO? Gay lover of C3PO? Bobbinette on the windows?? Lol, for all I know you could be quoting Dr. Seuss, but not of that gets in the way for me to tell you: you made a pretty cool short man. Damon Diamond stands at the gates with other great skits from SNL, Mad TV, etc. I loved it :)
Inky Dinky
In college, I learned Inkies - from "Inky Dinky", small fresnell lensed lights, varying between 150 and 250 watts. Various makes and models.
There are Inkies, and Tweenies, and Mini's and Mickey's, and Mighties, and those are just the names associated with one brand of Motion picture light equipment manufacturer. There are "Dedo" (Pronounced Deee doe.) lights, and more.
There are Babies (1K - 1,000 watt fresnell), Junior (2 K - 2,000 watt), Baby Junior (a 2K in the housing of a 1K), Senior (5 K), and Tenor (10 K). There are "Big Eye" (really Big Lenses on the lights, "Studio" - Big and heavy, and then the Baby versions, which have smaller lenses.
Oh it gets nutty.
The 2K I used was a Bardwell McAllister 2K Mini Sky-Pan. Wonderful little light.
CTO - Color Temperture Orange, akin to the Wratten 85 camera filter for converting daylight to tungsten, so If you are shooting with tungsten lights, and have daylight coming in through the windows, you "CTO" the windows to make the "color" of the light match. the N6 refers to the amount of Nuetral Density added to the CTO Gel. N6 being 2 stops worth. Really it is N.6 and each .1 of ND is equal to 1/3rd of a stop of light. Believe me if I hadn't used it during the day, the outside world seen through the windows would have been washed out, and bluish.
The Bobbinette is just a weave, simialar to stocking, which you find at fabric stores. We used several layers to help darken the outside world, as seen through the window. As the light got dimmer outside we could remove layers to keep the ratios consistent (until we lost the light, and were shooting the Damon Diamond part.) The Bobbinette worked well, and you couldn't see the mesh.
Small little tricks, that make it all seem natural.

Speaking of Diamond...
This was funny! Congrats! I have yet to attempt such a thing (the directing someone else's script thing, not the sleeping with the neighbors for cash thing... though I have yet to attempt that, as well).
Now you need to make one in which you reverse the genders and it's all about buying diamonds for "that special woman in your life." Man, those commercials are almost as bad as the car commercials. I've already informed my bf that if he doesn't get me some gaudy piece of jewelry that cost him a month's salary for the holiday season, then I won't really know if he cares...
Funny you should say that
There is a little gender reversal, as here it is the woman buying the car, usually the commercials have the man buying the car for the woman.
Here is an odd one. My wife has forbidden me from buying her any more jewlry. The last piece was a nice little Opal, and diamond bracelet. She loves the jewlry, but doesn't want anymore. Am I lucky, and don't even know it?

Wow. Steve, you surprised me
Wow. Steve, you surprised me with this one. Pretty funny, but I felt it was missing somthing..... Perhaps it was "It Takes Two" playing during the end credits.
Missing?
Surprised in a good way?
After the shoot, I did think that I could have had the married couple making it on the couch. Although that could have been funny, it wouldn't have been true to the piece. I didn't want to "sell out" the idea.
It takes two, ahhh what a memory.
