Memories

In Rocky Horror speak you guys would both be "virgins."

A small college town in the mountains of North Carolina decided to show the movie there at their little one screen theater. They had no IDEA what they were in for. Me and all my drunken college friends converged on the place throwing rice in the air, squirting water pistols, dancing, yelling, screaming, laughing. Yeah, they shut it down the next night! Awesome movie! You really have to see it in a theater though to get the full interactive experience. I still remember how to do the time warp. ;-)

victorpeceno's picture

HEY

I hear that this movie is usually showed in a cinema

every year with tons of fans and that is the most interactive movie in the entire world

I am really a virging about

whatever you know about will be really intersting to me

I discover that clip just today

even when I have heard about this movie long time ago

They still show it here

In downtown Raleigh at the Rialto Theater. Both my kids have gone and been "de-virginized" It's a lot of fun!

Plan Nine From Outer Space

the first time I saw this movie

was in 1997

I was in front of something really different

and I was in love with that movie

it was before I read a post in a main magazin here at spain with a critic from a real important guy here at spain, and he told, "tha movie from Ed Wood it is not good and it is not bad

just it is a movie made from someone from mars",

I believe it is somehow different

not bad not good just differnt...

othewise I love that movie

It's a Pelvic Thrust!

My goodness... now I'm forced to hint at my age... I can remember when Rocky Horror was all the rage in art house theatres, and people would go dressed in costume and shout out their interactions with the screen. I was never a big enough fan to know all the ins and outs but I surely enjoyed the event. I used to own the soundtrack on tape and now I'm thinking I need the CD.

Thank you, Victor, for the stroll down memory lane!!!

I remember my first...

Rocky Horror Picture Show experience.

The theatre was PACKED with people in costume.  Everyone acted out the entire movie:  standing up, throwing things, with someone at the front, jumping up and down and "chin fucking" the big mouth on screen.  I felt like I was being inducted into a cult and I loved every minute of it!
Seeing that movie in a crowded, costumed theatre is a cultural experience like no other.  I hope that tradition never dies.

Let's Do The Time Warp Again

Guess we must all be of an age...

I had my Rocky Horror Picture Show deflowering while at college, and my jaw dropped when this clean-cut friend of mine right next to me began to yell these rude, hilarious things at the screen. (That was Dave Schiff, who you met back in September, Dawn.) Things like: "Hey Riff, show us how you finger fuck your sister!" just before Riff gestures "come this way" with his finger. Don't know how many times he'd seen it, but Dave knew every audience line for every scene. Now you can find this script online. It's part of the culture!

Back in my schooldaze, "The Blues Brothers" got a similar cult following here in Sydney, and my friends would all dress up like Jake and Elwood and go and see the midnight show.

Como el tiempo vuela...

That means "how time flies" in the spanish version of this song.

Man, this brings for me a lot of memories. Growing up in Mexico, we had this all-children music band called Timbiriche:

Well.. those kids all grew up to be famous and have relatively successful solo careers. Last year, they got together again.. "Timbiriche Reunion" they called it. And they sung that song. Here they are. The same exact kids. All grown up:

Man, how time flies. I feel old, but nostalgic, somewhat happy.

Incredible

the time goes by..

it is something really amazing what happens with this movie

it is the first time that a movie make to the people interact with

or there are other cases about?

Movie theathers become a party for people... that is unbeliable

Marco my brother, today david was here at my house and he gave me a present

that was the story of my second name, together with the DVD "Wait until dark" I love that movie I hear from this movie from Brad...

well my second name was always a mistery, we are the only family with this name in spain, I try many times to know where come from my last name but I never got it...

David come today and now I know that my last name come from "Galicia" at spain but the family with that last name move to MEXICO..., my family come from the few ones that reamain here..., also david told me that there is a place in MEXICO named Peceño...

it was very emotional to me to know all this today, believe me if I told you that is not easy to found the procedence from my last name , but david did it, I don´t know how...

vamos con esos tequilas buey!!!

;)

Wow! Timewarp! Gosh!

This is  a great post, Victor.

Marco.  It's hilarious and a bit disturbing to me that a group of children were singing Timewarp. The fact that it was in Spanish is awesome!

I had no idea the reach of this movie. I was in high school when I discovered it and went many times. My mother was a theatre person but I'm not totally sure she realized what the experience was actually like.

Later I took a boyfriend to see it for his first time. We had great sex when we went home!
