"The Tektrix" (Teaser) Short based on "The Matrix". Here's a trailer/teaser. CGI, cable work, roto & cable removal was involved in the post-production. The sound on this trailer is a quick treatment. The DVD version includes a precisely finished soundtrack as well as a 5.1 surround mix.

Some of the shots were quite impressive, very elaborate, I cant tell if its some form of stop motion, or if you actual cables, looking very good! I'm very intrigued, whats the story for this short? I can tell its not a parody, so what is it, expanding on the Matrix universe?

The VFX were created with all of the above (and then some): Stop motion, Cable, CGI, Macromedia Director (for the cascading grean letters), After Effects layering, Commotion rotoscope/frame re-painting for cable removal, post VFX in FCP/plugins. (But if I were to paraphrase the words of our hero to describe the heart of the most impressive visual FX, I'd say, "We need cable. Lots of cable." That was the real trick)
What is the Tetrix? I don't want to ruin the intrigue of the trailor by describing more than the trailer intentionally describes itself. If I did - that would defeat the purpose of this teaser..and then... where would the hook be?
