Looking for more short scripts. I am looking for more scripts that are character driven pieces. Any Genre: Single Location: Written for Rick and Jenn in mind: Low Budget: 10-15 min: Just looking for some cool options in addition to Mindy and Girl walks into a bar. this is an audition piece for Jenn. The last five years shes done a kids show. I need to know if she can really act in order to cast her in the lead. I like her look and MUST make sure she can pull it off.

When I first started talking about a short I knew what you were going to say but you said, "Who gives a fuck what I think, go do it and do it well, I believe in you"
EZ if I could start shoot my feature today I would, but I wont beging for about 3 months. So in th mean time I have to audition, so why not audition my actors with a short,
A: see if we all get a long
B: see if they can act
C: see if they take direction
So on and so forth.

Yeah, Captain Peceno is making a short. A few shorts. He's not TALKING ABOUT MAKING SHORTS. And I wrote that short like in a half hour just to kick off this Karma project.
Brian Ochab's piece that I acted (and wrote with Turzman in like 30 mins also) in wasn't meant to be a short. It was a piece for his reel, but somehow ended up as a short and WAS PUT TOGETHER IN THREE DAYS. He didn't talk about it for THREE YEARS! haha

Bradford, it isn't that difficult. There are challenges of course. Making a film is not easy. the movie business is very tough and I know how hard it is if you don't have an agent or are recognized/have fans in the business of making films. But in order to get there, you sort of have to move yourself in there.
I know that I'm younger than most of you, and some of you might not listen to me, but I do know a whole lot more than any of you re: movie business. If I'm wrong, why was I at a meeting with the VP of Disney yesterday?
And Brad come on. Just go make something. Not any more shorts. What's the point. You've made shorts already. They haven't served as a stepping stone for anything more than...having a short. You have to go make a feature. Otherwise, join the youtube club.
Why do you think I don't send my short films to film festivals? Cause it's blah. How do you think I got a big rep in this business. Cause I fucking focused on a goal and not short films.

Bah, a short is really a nice tool to keep working... it's true that in a way or another is some kind of artistic martubation with a really small target for success... but it's better to make a short than to make nothing...
The only people I can't understand are those that make like... 20 shorts and keep making and making them... well it may be a hobby... but don't understand 'em anyway...
