Kafka In India
How ironic that the actor who played the owner of those passports ended up with visa problems in real life, since for a few days after we shot, I didn't know if I'd be leaving India either...
In a nutshell, despite the fact that I had entered on a perfectly valid visa, I couldn't leave because I hadn't told one branch of the bureaucracy (the Foreigners' Regional Registration Office) I was there. If that confuses you, don't worry- we were confused about it too!
Best Thing About India: THE FOOD
Worst Thing About India: THE BUREAUCRACY
It's no wonder driven filmmakers like shyam say "stuff the rules" and just go into the streets, avoid the cops, and do it!
I knew it!
Best Thing About India: THE FOOD
I knew it! It's the steaks, right?
Curry-fed Bombay cows, bay-bee!

hAhA... :)
I LIKED IT!
Keep making em...
Wow, Dawn!
Dawn, you have such beautiful eyes!
So much expression!
This teaser is making me want to see more, for sure!
I do like that Shyam went with the Paul Greengrass style of shooting there... very present and real, I think. Good stuff.
Dave, Dawn told me about your immigration drama... sounds like they were trying to squeeze a bribe out of your white ass! Man, I'm glad you survived that ordeal. You'll have to tell me all about your trip. Don't leave out the part about the yummy food either... mmmmm...
