My Book Will Be Referenced in the Upcoming "Purple State of Mind" Companion Book

Cease Fire, the War is Over!

I just found out earlier this evening that Craig Detweiler is referencing a book I co-authored (Cease Fire, the War is Over!) in his next book: A Purple State of Mind: Finding Middle Ground in a Divided Culture, which is a companion to the documentary he and John Marks discussed on our radio show about 6 weeks ago, also titled A Purple State of Mind.

If this book does as well as his previous book, I should have some exposure to tens of thousands of readers. Plus, Craig is coming out with a second book around the same time, so he should be gaining momentum in the publishing industry. That book is: Into the Dark: Seeing the Sacred in the Top Films of the 21st Century.

These books are both released on July 1st, and I'm thankful that Craig has been supportive of what I do. I count him as one of the three most influential people in my life, and don't know where I'd be if I had never met him.

Signed Copies

Hey Brad,

I'll be getting another small batch soon, of the paperback books, to have on hand. If you want a signed copy, and you can hold out for a few weeks, I can make that happen. I usually sell those for $15, signed or not. Although, I pretty much just sign all direct orders.

Otherwise, Amazon does have the paperback for: $11.89 (Hardcover = $18.71). It looks like their marketplace sellers are even lower than that.

From what I've been told, their shipping time is pretty good, for the fact my publisher is print-on-demand and knowing that Amazon is a company that doesn't keep inventory.

Here is a link to the paperback: http://www.amazon.com/Cease-Fire-Ove...

KarmaCritic Member Price (Signed Copy)

Thank you Davonie, I'm really excited about it as I think this will finally give the book some much bigger and much needed exposure.

Here is what I can do, for anyone here who is interested. I can get copies in any quantity, so if I know who all wants a signed copy, I will order that many copies.

Also, to whomever is interested, I'll cover shipping costs. Anyone who wants a copy, I'll PM you my address, for cash or check. (Preferably check, as it leaves a paper trail for my accounting.)

The copies will be mailed to me, I'll sign them / personalize them with a note, and then mail them.

For Paperback, let's say $10 (Retail is $13.99)

For Hardcover, let's say $18 (Retail is $23.99)

FOR ShURE...

I'll send you $25 for a hardcopy...

I can't access my PM page... ?

PM, Contact Settings, and Thank you!!!

i got a message when I went to message you that says you don't accept Private Messages, and your contact form is missing too.

If you go in to your profile, click edit...towards the bottom of the page that comes up, there should be boxes...look for ones about private messages and contact form, make sure those are checked. They could be unchecked, which would be making it so no one can contact you.

And wow, $25 is most generous of you, sir. i'll be more than happy to leave you a nice, long note inside the book. :)

The culture war is over and Christians were on the losing side. Cease Fire, the War Is Over! is not another battle plan to fight culture but a reconstruction plan that will allow us to deploy on a peacekeeping mission with the film industry.

This debriefing manual will show a proper response to culture, how to form convictions, how we got into the mess we are in, and then how to break a film apart and put it back together.
