DIY Days in LA Karma peops! Hello, I wanted to let everyone know about a very educational event taking place in LA on Saturday and again in San Francisco next month. It's called DIY Days and here is the link to check it out. It is put together by the same gents who put together 'From Here to Awesome.' Arin Crumley of 'Four-Eyed Monsters', Lance Weiler of 'Head Trauma' and M Dot Strange of 'We are the Strange.' All three of these guys have been at the forfront of experimental diy distribution. They have all done really creative things to get their movies into the world and make cash with them, especially utilizing the internet not only to build a fan base, but also as a mode of distribution. They're great guys to study for anyone wanting to (or forced to) self distribute their film. There will be lots of panels about both filmmaking and distribution. I think it could be quite worthwhile. This site looks great. I got overwhelmed with all of the information. I'm thinking about going to the San Fransisco conference as it all seems mostly geared for internet distribution.
