This way to NecrotopiaHey guys. I want you to see what we've been working at for the past... oh, I dunno, how many months has it been, EZ? At least 6. A lot. A long time. It takes a while to find a place in the vast fog of imagination, stick your hand in it, fish for and grab stuff, compact it into a little ball and yank it back out into our realm of reality. So far, we've yanked a website, a 16-page full color comic book, two teaser videos, nine character bios, a little brochure describing the world (a "feelie" in the purest Alan Moore style), a 96-page graphic novel script, a wiki-style framework for keeping my shit straight when I write in the future, forums, and... I'm probably forgetting stuff. But I'm very proud to show this to you guys. Everything I described above is here, except for the 96-page script, and one of the two videos (I may post it later here in KC). Please give it a whirl, and let me know if anything seems broken: Thanks so much for beta-testing this, guys, I understand our producer is showing this to some pretty high-up people right about now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Robert Lawrence is a GOOD producer to have, people. I want to give a huge thank you to Hector, who made the beautiful artwork you're about to see. He has been my best friend since childhood... I'm lucky to be able to say that, specially to be able to say that about him. He and I are going to do a lot of stuff together in the future, Xenu-willing. And of course, thanks to Ezequiel. He opened the door for me, all I had to do was be serious about my ambition, and I am, and he opened the door. EZ, this would have never gotten this far without you man. I also hope to be doing a lot of stuff with you in the future, Xenu or not. Alright. Have fun everybody, hope you like this.

Wow!!
Very cool stuff!
John "UnDoe" :)
Still looking around.
Reminds me of World of Warcraft meets Diablo (the game) meets Lovecraft meets...
Alter Egos
Hehe, John UnDoe is not really my alter ego, cuz I'm not nearly that cool... he's more like my alter super-ego, whom I'd like to be if I had a magic lamp and I didn't want to be a screenwriter :) But I think you'll like him best, Meredith, cuz he has a sharp mind, he investigates stuff, and plays chess with people inside his mind. None of that shows just yet, but in episodes 4 and 5 he shines :)
While I'm on it, we had a couple more homages to do, the character Brickhouse is my best effort to emulate BigSugar, I think I mentioned that once. And Antonio Peceno Santana is named after the two Pirate Captains from Spain!
Beyond that, all interpretations are valid. Glad you're liking this so far, man, thank you!
EZEQUIEL AND MARCO--PARTNERS IN PIRACY
It's been almost 7 months. I'm not sure. I think we started this in early feb. of this year.
Robert Lawrence and I had a lunch meeting at some place in Beverly Hills re: one of my other projects, and at the end of our meeting, he asked me if I was interested in developing a web series with him. I said sure.
I came home after being locked in traffic for 3 hours.
Called Marco and asked him if he was interested in developing a web series. He said, yes.
To make the long story longer than short, Marco came up with this great idea that at first, I knocked down. But the more I thought about it, the more I loved it, and it reminded me of this movie I wrote titled "Freakshow", that I later changed the title to "The Book Of Lords"
Marco and I were certainly on the same page. Marco and I started to immediately flesh out a story that would work for a webisodic series. I sort of always knew that it was too ambitious and way to big for the internet.
I called Robert Lawrence and pitched to him what Marco and I were cookin'. He liked it. Liked it a lot. He wanted to do it.
We got Marco working on this as the writer right away. He came up with a story so rich in mythology, so elegant in character, something that was so different and so cool, that eventually, Robert Lawrence felt that it had to be a movie. A series is too small for it.
Robert and I met with the Vice Prez of Walt Disney Pictures and pitched it to her. We went there first cause she is a huge fan of mine and wants to be in business. I love this woman so much, that we even named a character after her--"Brickhouse".
She loved the concept, but to her, it came off as being too close to "X-Men". And we knew that that isn't what it is. It is the opposite. And in my opinion, a much better story than X-Men. Not just cause we made it up, but because I knew we had something.
So Robert, Marco and myself decided that we should do a first issue comic that would introduce the world of "The Unnaturals". Show what the tone is. The mythology. The crazy characters. Something the Wachowski's did when they were shopping "The Matrix" around. We wanted to paint the picture of this world for people so that we wouldn't get "oh, it seems too much like the X-Men" ever again.
After months of tireless effort. Long hours of thought and work. Marco wrote up what Robert and I finally decided would be the movie. Thank you Marco for not "Bradding" around. haha
And when you look at the website, you can tell how much work went into this. AND WE'RE STILL NOT DONE! DAMN IT! haha
AND when you look at it, you'll see that it is nothing like the X-Men. It is completely UNNATURAL.
This is the secret project we've been talking about for a long time. Please visit the website and check check check it out!
And a very special thanks to Hector Bustamante for the incredible artwork! He has inspired me on so many different levels.
special thanks to our partner Robert Lawrence for believing in us and losing sleep alongside Marco and I working on this project tirelessly and relentlessly.
We'll share more news on this as soon as it hits the presses!

REVEAL BLACK RAVEN WINGS
:)
I remember reading this, still have it, I liked it even before Marco added his magic to it and it became The Unnaturals.
You will get a movie deal from this. A game deal too?
Keep going...
This could be animated like Beowulf was, or Polar Express, do it in 3D too?
I hope now. I can't stand
I hope not. I can't stand those Bewoulfe type of animated movies.
Videogames
Now, just to nitpick, I've no idea what you've read before, but nothing "became" the Unnaturals, and I didn't "add" anything neither; the Unnaturals are 100% out of my head from scratch. Well, as much as anything can be, I guess, since I grew up with all sorts of influences.
Yeah, I'm writing a videogame design document too :) We'll see how that goes... I'm crossing my fingers man. I've ALWAYS wanted to be a videogame designer... if that dream comes true, well, shit, I don't know what else will be left to do :) As for animatio, it could happen. Hector is starting an animation studio. We'll see man, ... everything is so uncertain, it could all fall apart, or it could go on to become something really nice... all I know is that I'm doing my part to my best ability, no regrets :)
100%
Cool!
Whatever E sent me should be made into a movie too.
MARCO IS UNNATURAL
This was slammed out from Marco's bizarre imagination. There are a lot of things in it that came from me, but they were just ideas and concepts. Marco is the magician here. It's a collaborative effort right? My biggest claim to fame on this project is my favorite character, a character I have wanted to put on screen for years now--SERAPHIM. I had to BEG Marco to give this character some bad ass moments. He did. thank you Marco. Of course none of you know who Seraphim is, but you will. And after, you will never forget her, or any of the unnaturals for that matter. For some reason though, Marco and I find ourselves infactuated with BRICKHOUSE.
It just so happened that The Unnaturals was SO DAMN CLOSE to something I had written in the past, that I couldn't let this go and I had to work with Marco on it.
And let me tell you guys, Marco is working his ass off on this. He's not bradding around.

You need to see these crazies LIVE...highly recommended
I saw these guys LIVE at OZZFEST...on the SECOND small stage when they put our their first (or second) album.
The crowd was relatively small so I was able to get pretty close.
Has anyone seen the comic?
I thought I'd ask, I'm not sure if there's a navigation problem or not... it works fine in my computer, but I want to make sure it works fine for everybody. Thanks in advance for testing!!
Now that you've mentioned
Now that you've mentioned it, I just came back from reading it on the website. Cool stuff. When can I pick this up in tbd form?
Pfiew!
Okay, this tells me everything works well in PCs. Now if only a mac person would give it a try?
Glad you liked it Brendan!!! I don't know when or if this would be printed.... our producer is doing his magic, I'm just writing my ass off and keeping my fingers crossed, I'll keep you guys posted! :)
Hey! Congrats for the site
Hey! Congrats for the site again Guys! It's sooooo COOOOL!
I have tested it on Safari, and all seems to be working, anyway, there are some errors in the comic section. that doesn't seem to affect the navigation or functionality but I think they're messing a bit the design layout, don't know... I will try to get more data and e-mail you :)
GO CAPTAINS GO!!!!!
Thank you sir!!
I had no idea whether it would work on macs, glad to hear it does! Just this morning I changed a couple things about the comic section, I added thumbnail navigation, full screen mode when zoomed in, and other small details, but thanks for testing and looking forward to the data! So glad you like it Captain Santana! :)
I test it
Mac with firefox
when I made a zoom to the page to read (comic),
then I have to go back to do it again for every page
becouse everytime I use zoom I can´t go back to the comic
I got a black screen, once I turn again to comic selection (main menu) the comic appear in the same page I was, and then zoom again and go back to the main menu
I hope it help you
can I be in it?
I'm naturally unnatural... hAhA
Sure!
If things go well and we make it to issue number 6, there's a big fight there with lots of Unnaturals, I'll have a character there for the hANDSOME one :)
part 6?
If I gotta wait dat long... at least make em part 7... hAhA
