Alright, I just put this little thing together over the course of 5 days for a video production class. Nothing special but let me know what you think. Regarding the plot, the title says it all. Let me know if you think its funny.

Oh yeah, I haven't figured out how to de-interlace videos on final cut express so once I figure it out, I'll repost the video. But as of right now, I'm too lazy to bother until maybe tomorrow.

My role(s) in this film:

It was one of those real

It was one of those real basic ideas where we just made things up as we went along.

The people in this video, you may see more of them in some of my future material.

Damn dude.

I got all excited when I saw this up to 10 comments on this video, then I click it and all I see is the same one repeated over and over again. I feel punk'd.

A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS

I hope this post gets repeat posts also! At least five times!

And now Captain Young Blood, I believe it is time for you to go make another flickers flick!

This might work well for a campaign commercial re: our current economic status in our country! haha

DRINK UP ME'HEARTIES YO HO!

I'm planning something big

That is going to flicker like all good flicks should. This penny one was really only supposed to show/prove to my beginning class that I already knew how to throw something together.

My Next big thing will probably happen by the spring. And there will be blood.

Updated. No more

Updated. No more interlacing.

Plus, I know the scene after the credits is lame but one of the requirements for the assignment was to have a voice over, so I threw it in at the very end. The indea for the scene started out as a joke but then found itself actually being worked into the project.

Thanks to everyone

I need to make another one for next week that involves camera movement that is essential to the piece in some way.

I have a question to ask of all you

Did anyone laugh at all besides the one scene when he pulls the penny out of the girl's ear? We haven't shown these in class yet but I have shown this to three people so far where I sat in the same room as them. One laughed through out the whole thing but that's just the kind of person he is. The other two didn't seem to laugh at all except the one scene with the ear.

Does the ending work? I know the joke plays out for too long so maybe I might edit it down soon.

victorpeceno's picture

that is the key

when he got the penny from her ear!!! that is great!

all the short seems great

"found a penny pick it up, all day long..."

Go Captain Go!!!!
