Why do we do this?

John Meredith's picture

What’s wrong?

Mixing the lines and conceptions, of our own “reality,” our mind; then to have them watched by the strange public. People we probably don’t even like, or at least some of them.

Why did Walt Disney make Disneyland?

The curse or blessing of creativity or the pompous ego of a powerful or powerless maniac?

The belief, mostly false at times, that you have something others should hear or could be helped from, or that your thoughts are worth the lives, or time, of others.

How dare we call ourselves important? Or is it that we see the meaningless and want to color it a bit?

Couch slobs can be critical of the ego-bots that are projected before them on their judgment window without trying to do it themselves.

We can’t.

We are stuck.

Yes, you, you have “it.”

Why did Walt Disney make Disneyland?

I have to make a movie. I have to finish my script. I need to rehearse. Who do we cast?

What did you shoot it on?

All in the mix of it all, spinning on a giant ball in space.

You, me and our visions and dreams.

It is all we have or have found above the normalcy of lives pleasures.

So, we will wake up tomorrow never have really made our best movie, or have done our best work, or have not finished something.

The lack of satisfaction. The need for control. The desire to project and to conceal the inevitable end that life brings us.

To leave something permanent or at least socially pertinent till the couch slobs change their tastes.

Why did Walt Disney make Disneyland? - Because he knew it was impossible. Someone told him no. They told him he was crazy,

Well, according to Walt, he just wanted a place he could take his kids and other families could do the same.

Disneyland is like being in a movie.

Time is ticking.

Anyway…

What was I saying?

WHY WE DO IT

We do it because that's what we do. Is there ego there. YES. always was and always will be. why? because some of us have something others don't--and that ego to get these ideas and thoughts out and expressed won't go away unless you do it. it's a drive.

But for the most part, it is a creative talent you're born with and then sculpted and molded through the years until you master the craft and be able to realize things that will entertain asses in the masses.

Some people just have fire in them. And they want to create. That's it.

Want to know who had the biggest ego?

God.

Wow

All this is just magic

you just have to believe...

If we tie in...

...the magic of Harry Potter and Santa Claus as mentioned in  our KC Radio discusssion, even going to Disneyland would be frowned upon by some as sacreligious.

I don't like that.

When someone suggests that going to Disneyland is immoral, I have draw the line.

Then they are taking away. Making the world a worse place.

The people that don't belive in anything

The people that don't believe in anything spirtual.

The people that use beliefs to control others.

Please find something that makes you happy and does not hurt others.

All the adversity I've had in my life, all my troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me... You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you.
