Birds of Prey - Webisode TeaserThis trailer was originally created as a submisison to be considered for the Grindhouse 101 panel with Robert Rodriguez at the SXSW festival in Austin, TX. While only the top three were screened at the fest (all well-deserved winners) rumor from one of the top three finalist was that "Birds" was in the top 5. Heck, I'll take that. Shot on a dvx100b in 4 hours and for under $400. The grain and aging was acheived with After Effects. Beefy gore purchased at a Vietnamese butcher shop by my most excellent special makeup FX artist, Elissa Prager. Birds of Prey is now being developed as a running webisode series and will begin shooting in the Fall of '07 once my current project is in it's initial fesitval run. Wohoo! My role(s) in this film: Director Writer Producer Cinematographer Editor FX Submitted by Donnybrook on July 2, 2007 - 6:40pm. |

I totally support the dvx100b. If you like the way this trailer looks wait till i post up the trailer for the 15min short I'm finishing up. I shot it on the same camera but with the Redrock M2 adaptor which allowed me to add 35mm primes!!! Sky's the limit...

Man, it doesnt take a Rodriguez or a Tarantino to capture the Grindhouse spirit.... and .. well, I love Rob Zombie, I mean, I do, but... your trailer kicks HIS trailer's ass.
