Billy Joel. The Last Play at Shea

July 16, Shea Stadium, Flushing, New York.

That's right, bitches. In a historic event, Billy Joel became the only person in history to have played every major venue in the Tri-State area. Shea Stadium gets torn down at the end of this year's baseball season, and in an equally historic event, it was where the Beatles played their first U.S. concert (it was also Shea's first) so it was only fitting that Joel pay homage with 3 Beatles tunes in Shea's last concert (Hard Day's Night, Please Please Me & She Loves You).

Last Play at Shea featured cameos from Tony Bennett, John Mayer, Don Henley and John Cougar Melencamp Face, or whatever he's calling himself these days.

Yes you missed something great.

I did not.
