Requiem of Reminiscence

Looking back to the days of our youth,
Our innocence,
Our initiation to the winds of time,
I am filled with recollections of fields,
Of streams,
Of the earth bound heaven of the family farm…

I struggle to recall the specific words,
Their voices,
Their warm smiles,
Full to brim with love,
Memories overflowing,
With the faces of those passed on…

Great and Grand Parents, Uncles and Aunts,
Cousins, Nephews, Nieces,
Working the fields, Fishing the Snake,
Hunting the ditch banks for Sage Hen,
Pheasant and Deer,
Owning little, Yet everything all the same…

Overwhelmed with regret,
For those fallen along the way,
As time passed on love ones cast,
Like Dandelion Seed on the breeze,
Those who fell prey to temptations,
Caught up by wrong choices on our way…

Was it destiny or fate, Who did or did not stray,
Is a mystery to me now,
Though the pain of their loss is decades old,
I see it in the corners of my loved ones eyes,
As age steals up on me now,
I realize some questions will always remain…

For the loved and the lost remain,
In places worldly cares lose all meaning,
Perhaps the only places I still struggle to control,
The places of my memories,
The fields and streams,
The mountains and forests,
The open waters of oceans sailed,
Though young believe these in heart and mind,
Time has taught they haunt my soul…

Well, there it is.

Its over, there will be more clips as there is still CO to CA to cover film wise, but its all in the can, it just has to be edited and added.

Thanks to anyone and every one who helped in anyway and I really hope some of you come out to the party at the Cat and Fiddlr tonight in Hollywood at 7ish.

I heard 4 or 5 of you say you werer coming out, so I hope thats right.

if nothinig else its a networking opp for some of you as other film makers and writers I know from this area will be coming out, but thats Hollywood right?
