At a very young age, my mother encouraged me to make movies with the VHS camera my father had bought, and to influence me even more, she would make me watch the skits she made when she was young with the 8 mm camera my grandfather had bought. And since I had ADD, this was the best way to focus my energy on something creative. I grew up looking at the world through a camera with a lense as my eye. In college, I was a biology major that was in denial and found myself studying Cinema (my editing professor was Walter Murch at Cal State Long Beach, editor of Apocolypse Now and The English Patient, etc)--and that was the moment when I realized what my true calling was--to make films. My ambition was so strong (and still is even more) that I dropped out of college to find my way in Hollywood. A month after dropping out, I found an internship at Paramount Pictures for producer Tova Laiter (Far And Away, Die Hard III, Nixon, The Scarlet Letter, Evita, and many more) during the production of her film Varsity Blues. And since then, have learned a great deal about this business with Tova as a great mentor and teacher. I learned how to write professionally from yet another mentor and great writer named John Hill (Quigly Down Under, and emmy award winner for his work on Law And Order).

And...I want to marry Anne Hattheway!
